I dont normally put much of my personal business on here, but I really felt the need to share this. This is my Mom, a little over a month ago I got a call from my sister and niece that my Mom had a massive heart attack. By the time I got to St. Marys hospital she was already in surgery. When the Dr. came out he informed us there was nothing much they could do. All her arteries except 1 were 100% blocked and that 1 was 90% blocked. They couldnt even get a stent in, however they were able to get a balloon in the one that was 90% blocked. We were told her heart was like a cement block. And that she could have another heart attack at anytime just laying there in that bed. I remember one day when I was sitting in the room with her in ICU, I felt like she was afraid to let go. I asked her what she was afraid of and she said everything. My daughter and a Chaplain and I prayed with her. I honestly prayed for God to just let her go. It was hell to see my Mom laying there like that. After St. Marys had her stable she was transported to Harper hospital. Where they were able to put two stents in, and basically clean out a lot of the plaque build up on her heart. After more than 14 days in the hospital we brought her home. After 2 days she had to be re admitted. She is now in Re-hab, and look at her now. I cant count the sleepless nights I had, or the tremendous guilt I felt. My Mom hadnt been well in years and has lived with my niece Kari Broyles Juengel for the past 6 years. Basically my sister Linda Edwards Gould, and niece had been helping her for years. Guilt because I havent helped out with my Mom as much as I should have. After being left for awhile to take care of her by myself, I now understand what my sister and niece have been dealing with for many years. Many days I just cried. It was just so terribly hard to see my Mom like this. Well Im so happy to show you guys how well my Mom is doing. To go from basically deaths door to this, is nothing short of a miracle.
