I dont really know how to say this, but...I think I just shook hands with the painter that I was 2 years ago. My current paintings seem to make so much more sense now having had made those paintings back then, and vice-verse. I dont really know how it happened. I guess I was there throughout. I mean...I must have been, right? I know that all of the in between paintings were important to this whole thing, but this moment has given me some real clarity about what I have been doing. I was emotional a bit ago. I wish I could put it into words. Though Im sure you know what Im talking about with all of this. I know that 2 years isnt that long, but Ive made a lot of paintings since and it seems like forever ago. I look for this thread. I look for it on this timeline of life. I think I just found another mark on it. So I marked it, and Im now going to retire from painting and get some exercise while taking up bowling. See ya!
