I dont share every provision story, but I do the ones I feel led - TopicsExpress

I dont share every provision story, but I do the ones I feel led to ... so here is another to encourage your faith! (it did ours :) ). This afternoon, I went to Costco and Meijer with Liam to get groceries. When we were coming out of Meijer and loading our groceries in the van, another older man right next to us said, Wow! You dont see that size vehicle around much anymore. I told him that we had 12 kids and so it was a necessity. Some more questions and answers about our large family followed as he was clearly intrigued. I said my farewells and went to get in the van. He left his own cart with groceries and said, Let me move this cart for you so you can pull straight out. Youve got enough problems. I said thank you, but then started talking to the Lord as I pulled away. Let me move this cart ... I started giggling out loud because in my head it was like that line from Dirty Dancing long ago, I carried a watermelon LOL! So small. I then apologized to the Lord and said (Im always talking to Him in my head), Youre right ... we can all do something and that was his something. Forgive me ... but a new dishwasher or donated plumbing skills would be have been even better so I can have my kitchen back! I got home to find Ben and his dad under our sink with all sorts of contraptions and hoses hooked up trying to unclog a pipe somewhere in our house that was backing up our kitchen. They were doing so for about 2 hours with no success. Within 15 minutes of my getting home. DONE. Fixed. Thank you Jesus! We can wash the dishes in the sink and not the bathtub tonight. For all things be grateful! A few hours later, I was checking my messages while standing in the kitchen. At this point, Ben had the dishwasher pulled out of the hole again right behind me trying for the ump-teenth time in the last month to fix the darn thing. I told Ben, Stop what youre doing and come read this. It turns out that God WAS listening to me at Meijer (surprise!) ... and so was someone else. One of you (hi :)) apparently passed me several times today while shopping and recognized Liam and I. That is one of the strange things about sharing our lives here ... people know us but I have no idea who you all are :). God had apparently told her yesterday to buy us a new dishwasher. Thats a big purchase and she asked God for confirmation. I normally shop on Saturdays ... but because we were in Ohio for the funeral, that task got pushed to today after church. We just happened to be shopping at the exact same time today at the same store and confirmed to her what He had told her yesterday. Her message said that she wanted to buy us a new dishwasher. WOW. RIGHT? The dishwasher is a most awesome (and humbly received) gift, but the HOW it call came about is even more miraculous to me. As you start this new week, be encouraged!!!!!!!!! He is always listening - so pray continually. And be obedient to what He tells you to do because someone is waiting on the other side of your obedience!
