I dont share these stories because I think all cops are bad - I share these stories because they keep happening and they shouldnt be happening. This is an issue that we are increasingly hearing about and no cop should be using DEADLY FORCE just because they have a gun and they can; cops also care a tazer and mace, AND have the option to shoot the dog in a shoulder as apposed to point-blank in the head/face. If the cop hears a dog barking or sees a dog, common sense should tell them not enter the premises. Most dogs are protective, and most dog will NOT attack, only bark for a few minutes until they calm down - otherwise the hospitals would be full of postal workers. Hah, to think a mail carrier can survive barking dogs but these cops are so fearful of domestic dogs that they feel they are in that much danger they need to murder them?!
