I dont suffer from tinnitus, but I do get a minor case of it from time to time. Maybe drinking coffee has kept more of it at bay. With the occasion ringing of the ears I get, imagine hearing the sound of a TV powering on in the room. You know, that subtle high pitched electronic tone? Thats what I tend to hear ALL the time. Ive never heard perfect silence. That sound is always present. I have also noticed an occasional clicking sound in my left ear, usually noticed in quiet settings as well. I dont know what causes it or a random moment in which sound will suddenly mute itself in an ear and slowly fade back in over 15 seconds or so. I have attributed all this to a mild case of tinnitus. I dont suffer from any form of hearing loss that I am aware of. I have worried that my time in the Navy may have damaged my hearing, but I seem to hear just fine years later. Never blasted loud music on headphones and wore ear-plugs around construction as needed, so I think Ive handled things just right so far. I have drank coffee ever since I was in high school, so maybe my mild cause of tinnitus would have been worse if it wasnt for the fact that I still drink coffee? 10news/news/national/ringing-in-your-ears-try-drinking-coffee-study
