I dont talk much about what is going on with my health here on fb, but what Im going through feels lonely at times and I need to vent. Today is national Carcinoid Awareness day. I wear my stripes in honor of the survivors and the ones who have lost their battle. Coming to terms with a Carcinoid Syndrome diagnosis has left me feeling like Im in denial about my condition. But I am writing today to come to terms with this and just say out loud my condition is terminal. Who knows when. In my case much later than sooner. I am not writing this to cause sadness just trying to be truthful with myself and to raise awareness for this disease. Had I not been persistent with my doctors I would not be alive to write this. If you know in your heart something is truley wrong speak up only you can be an advocate for you. I am proud that I didnt give up and I have my life to show for it. Please learn more about my condition so that I dont feel so alone on this journey.
