I dont think Ill ever get tired of the film trilogy of LOTR. This scene still gives me chills, gets me choked up, where I was totally in awe of the character of Theoden, and where my love of the entire kingdom of Rohan grew exponentially. I think Ill have a viewing of the films again some time soon. Ill have to set aside 12 hours of my time to do that, but dang it I miss the times where I sobbed over the Elves leaving Middle Earth, where I enjoyed the lip-smacking good Viggo as Aragorn...who didnt really pull me that much in the books, I had the book crush on Faramir....and where (that reminds me) of how I was shaking my damn head at the bastardization of the character of Faramir, but also where Gollum was better than perfect, where hobbits stole my heart on the big screen, and where Peter Jackson did the impossible and introduced an entire generation to the magic of Tolkien. But anyway, back to the Rohirrim. The very definition of courage and loyalty. All wrapped up in this scene.
