I dont understand why his email is labeled racist. I read the entire text of the email and it sounds exactly like the owner of a business describing the demographics of his customer base, and speculating on how to widen that base to be more inclusive of under-represented potential customers. Every business analyzes the demographics and behavior patterns of their core customer base and speculates on strategies to broaden that base and attract customers outside the core demographic group. That is called normal. Take his email and word for word replace Black with White or Asian or Native American or Jewish or Arab and it could be the textbook example of a business owners communication to his management team on the subject of widening inclusion to any underrepresented demographic.
