I dont usually touch the political side of things and believe that either Doctor Abdullah or Ashraf Ghani winning the elections would do much good for Afghanistan in the next 4 or 5 years.... However the fact that I was in Afghanistan on the day of the elections myself, I can safely tell you that either in the first round we had more than 10 million people who voted (it was announced as around 7 million) or there is no way possible that 8 million people voted in the second round as I saw with my own eyes that the turnout was like 60% or maximum 70% of the first round!! Cautiously waiting for the next development.... :-/
