I dont want to seem hard hearted but Hero Worship is a slippery slope.....with everything that has gone on recently here in Missouri and New York, people have jumped on the Police train, there isnt ANYTHING wrong with holding police officers in high regard, but not everyone that pins on a badge is worthy of your undying loyalty.....in the 70s New York police were the most corrupt police departments in the U.S......and it wasnt just a few, in some instances it was complete precincts.....in the 80s New Orleans police took that award....in the 90s it was the L.A. police and Chicago police.....so bad in Chicago the Governor suspended the death penalty due to corruption within the police department and corrupt prosecutors. ......having said all this I do respect law enforcement but it my eyes they are not Heros, they are men and women who have a tough job to do, they know full well what is expected of them day 1......and if anyone thinks that everyone with a gun and badge is honest and trust worthy. ......they are probably the same people that thought every Priest was honest and trust worthy......dont be nieve.....just be cautious in whom to believe to be a Hero......RANT OvEr
