I dont want to tell you what I ate today. Partly because Im embarrassed, and partly because I cant quite remember. I know for sure that I ate crisps and biscuits, pancakes and waffles, chips and spaghetti and peanut m&ms. I fell off the dont eat carbs wagon and rolled around in the ditch of starch and glucose. It should actually be illegal to eat as much as I stuffed down my oesophagus today - I was half-hoping someone would burst into my flat shouting Move away from the carbs! Put the carbs down, and nobody gets hurt. I take full responsibility for my gluttonous actions. We went to see a lovely friend, Andrew Pope, who kindly presented Lily and myself with many of the above foodstuffs, not realising that I didnt have the willpower to have just a mouthful and would shovel the lot down my gullet. We had fun: we fed ducks and geese by the lake (I just about managed to stop myself from eating the bread meant for the birds). And Lily wore Andrews cowboy hat and looked like a bona fide cowgirl. On the way home, Lily spotted an elderly man and woman opposite us on the train wearing poppies, and asked why they were wearing the flowers. I explained. She asked loudly So people died and so theyre wearing poppies to remember them? As she finished her question, the elderly man leant over, took his poppy off his coat and presented it to Lily. She was very happy. Weight: 9 stone 9lbs (target weight: 7 stone 7lbs) Loss since yesterday: 0.4lb Total left to lose: 2 stone 2lbs Waist: 29.5 (target waist measurement: 25) Loss since yesterday: 0.5 Total left to lose: 4.5” Food: Lets not even go there = 4000kcals Exercise: 1.5-mile walk = -120kcals TOTAL: Tomorrow is another day
