I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in synchronicity, or what Juan Matus, the Yaqui shaman, referred to as “a reaffirmation from the world around us”, stemming from our own spirit’s intention. Wednesday, Kelley, Roland, Larry, & I were talking about the REO Speedwagon album title, “You Can Tune a Piano but you Can’t Tuna Fish”. Somehow, the conversation progressed to Humble Pie and their song, “I Don’t Need No Doctor”. I raved to Kelley how I thought it was such an awesome song with its vocals & guitar licks. On my drive home from work that day, while listening to my iPod, the next song to come up on my 882-song ‘eclectic’ playlist was Humble Pie doing “I Don’t Need No Doctor”, live at the Fillmore in 1971.
