I don’t know if anyone here is old enough to remember, but in the late 60s the Circuit Overseers (I believe they were called Traveling Servants back then) used to ask all the members to follow him to his car after the Sunday talk and He would open up his trunk and sell Vitamins and jewelry to the brothers and sisters. Now get this, I remember one CO or traveling servant even pulled out a cigar and lit it. We used to take breaks on Sunday because the talk was an hour, sometimes longer if the speaker was winded. And many of the friends would go outside and take a quick smoke. Does anyone remember this?
