I don’t know if everyone knows this about me but I am an outdoors man - hunter, fisherman as well as a hunter safety instructor. I hunt for the conservation and culinary aspects of it. I am fully aware there are some that are probably anti hunting people that I’m sure are my friends but I wanted to share this story with my fellow hunter friends. This morning at 8:20 am I was blessed with tagging out in a matter of a minute with two deer. I was also blessed with the knowledge and skill to take / harvest the two deer, without them suffering or any prolonged pain, with a single shot break action 20 gauge shotgun that I’ve had since I started hunting. I consider the harvest a very Spiritual event and follow the process all the way through from the field to the freezer and there is absolutely NO waste of the my harvest. What I do not cook or use I donate to the Hoo Haven so the animals they rehabilitate can eat and gain the nutrition from what they enjoy in the wild.
