I enjoy looking for and listening to shortwave pirate radio broadcasters. Last night, Wolverine Radio graced the ether with a long program of 80s pop hits and dance music. I took this short video with Camstudio of the software defined radio software that I use on my laptop to access over the household WiFi network the RTL-SDR rig that I have set up in my man cave on the other side of the house. The SDR rig consists of an RTL2832U-based DVB-T USB stick that I acquired for about $20.00 direct out of Hong Kong on eBay and an upconverter that I built from parts and a schematic that I found on the Internet. The song that Wolverine Radio is playing is Lets Dance by David Bowie.
