I enjoy reading inspirational messages before bedtime and wanted to share: I can do all things in him who strengthens me- philippians 4:12-20 We all have delusions of power and control. We fear being vulnerable, and react with strong defense- as individual person, as society, and as a nation. Yet in order to encounter the Lord, we must remove our defenses, become vulnerable and depend on him. The reality is that our world and life is fragile. A person can feel attacked from the unseen Ebola virus, the terrorist of the world, and the violence in ones neighborhood. The real violence that surrounds us is multiplied each day on the T.V. and movies so that people blur the lines of reality and fiction, their nightmares and imaginations testify to this. Our strengh is the lord. He gives us all the power to do what we need to do each day. We need to embrace the fears that come from being vulnerable, and accept the lord as our strengh. We must live the faith that says: I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
