I enjoy taking my babies out, however, never with the idea of fooling folks into thinking they are real babies. That being said it is fun when some think they are real at first look -- most of the time. Some react as though they are insulted or embarrassed because they thought a realistic doll was a real child. Others are delighted and interested in learning about the art of reborning as well as how; besides being collectibles, these dolls provide comfort as therapy dolls. Taking them out can be such a good way to learn how to better process and deal with both pleasant and unpleasant (rude, unkind) reactions. Some of us find this to be a confidence builder.
