I feared it would happen.... it did. Today 15 minutes before sundown my ducks flew off. Theyve flown over our fence before, but always came right back. This time they didnt. Im worried they may have become separated... that would be terrible. Also, they have no fear of our dog (well, a little fear) or our cats, and that worries me. Theyre pretty good at grazing for food, but its so late in the season, and why did they have to wait until almost dark to fly away?? I had just bought a heat lamp for their cage and a heated water bowl. Say a little prayer for their safety please. Maybe tomorrow.... theyll come back.
