I feel as if I am in a desert today as I pray! I see the expanse set out before me - and I stand in awe at the direction we are headed. Even though the distance appears to be great, I somehow know that just over the horizon there is an oasis waiting – with everything I will need to survive and prosper. This causes me to worship You – for Who You are - and for all the promises You have given that sustain and enrich me. In these moments of worship, I am acutely aware of a wonder almost too incredible to fully understand. As I look truthfully at myself, I see my brokenness - and somehow because of that, my joy begins to re-engage. Only You have a clear vision of what lies ahead for me – I certainly can see only a short distance ahead. To know that You will be glorified in what I do – is the fuel that propels me. Somehow I suspect this season of my life is leading toward a transformation that You have been working in me for quite some time. I always want to be quick to hear Your call. I never want to lag behind or run ahead of You. My worship helps me to see You in Your holiness - and it brings me closer to what I see as the glory of My God shining into even the most difficult situations. I ask You Holy Spirit to calm our souls. It is very loud out here. I know we all need to slow our pace so we can listen to what it is You have to say to us – and we need Your help to do this. I want to hear You whisper in my heart - and I need You to cause my restless soul to be in peace. To You alone belongs the Glory and Praise...........my Father and my King.........
