I feel blessed to have so many inspiring, authentic, down-to-earth people in my Facebook lounge. Ive truly curated my friends list very carefully. Every person has a role to play, has found a connection on some level and has been judiciously chosen or accepted. One such remarkable woman, is Karien Buter. Living a very real life, writing from the heart & soul and sharing thoughts, insights, trials and tribulations. So learningful. Today - Karien wrote - what struck me specifically, was her last sentence - ...and deleted the stresses of another day. Made me think that I can learn from the computer keyboard functions - Ctrl-Alt-Del - its in a way a form of life philosophy. And then as always the amazing marcelle hazan bolognaise sauce bubbling away on the stove for 4 hours. We sat. Behind us a roaring fire . Candles lit. No electricity . And watch the snow fall out of the window eating massive bowls of bolognaisse listening to the childrens happy stories. We fell asleep in front of the fire ! It was perfect and deleted the stresses of another day. I commented on Kariens post: I like the notion of using the Control - Ctrl - function - youre reminding me that no matter what happens in a day, with the motions of life, you CHOOSE to LIVE, with joy - YOUre in control * * - ALT - alternative - you choose an alternative reality once you get home - you actively live and experience * * Delete - Del - deleting whatever the stresses of the day were - and focusing in every now - being with your loved ones, in joy* Karien Buters Life Lessons - use Ctrl-Alt-Del - to live a full life. I love it !
