I feel hopeless in the face of extreme adversity. How can I make people see that taxes are our cost for being part of the United States? How can I make them see that we are severely under taxed? How can I make them understand that if we want to be able to sustain ourselves as a country, we have to increase taxes? How can I get them to fight for closing tax loopholes on international corporations? Every method I have tried is far too slow. People need to understand these truths or we will crumble. I want so very badly for this country to be a good home, but it gets more horrifying as the days go on as I see the unflinching complacency among its citizens.
