I feel like theres a lot of misinformation and confusion around signing up for health insurance. Theres a lot of options! If you dont have insurance this is your chance to get some. If you are insured and your premiums are $$$$ you can lower them. My friend is looking at saving $1000 a month on her premiums and essentially keeping the same insurance. Im going to be saving $200 a month and getting better insurance. If you earn under $44k a year you will be subsidized. And Ive seen some catastrophic coverage plans for under $5 a month. Thats the save your a** plan. If you want to be insured by Jan 1st you need to be enrolled by Dec 8th but dont wait til Dec 7th to enroll like everyone else.
