I feel sorry for Naomi Klein and for the planet earth and the human race. She has written a book about how economics is related to climate change. Unfortunately, you first need to accept the complex science of climate change to then make the leap to understand how economic change is related to a solution. The science of climate change is complex and it cant be studied in controlled settings. All of the earth is affected and predicating exactly what actions humans could do to stabilize the environment is hard to prove. On the other hand, understanding the effectiveness of vaccines is not at all hard to grasp. The science is relatively straight forward. And the statistical proof is overwhelming. Moreover, in my own lifetime I have experienced the fact that I had the measles and then afterwards a vaccine was introduced and now none of my children or anyone elses children that I know has gotten it. So the science is clear. The statistical proof is clear and the anecdotal evidence of every single person who sees this posting leads in to the exact same conclusion, vaccines work and are safe. Based on the demographic charts I have seen it appears that rates of non-vaccination are higher in areas such as West Los Angles or Marin, where I think that studies will show the population believes in climate change. Accordingly, there must be some subset of people who believe in climate change but do not believe in vaccinations. The inability of this group of highly educated, wealthy, influential people to grasp the simplest concepts of cause and effect will make any solution to climate change based on transformation of economic structures impossible to sustain. democracynow.org/blog/2014/9/17/thursday_naomi_klein_on_her_new_book
