I felt super honored, excited and proud today. The first day of my Drawing Complex Textures class at The Contemporary Austin, a woman who has worked as a nurse for 30 years exclaimed halfway through class This is hands down the best instruction Ive ever had!. Whoa. That is the best compliment Ive had in quite some time!!! Now I didnt stop to ask Like ever, in your entire life? because I just told her I teach how I want to be taught: I break things down to intricate detail and explain it in logical steps. Because then people who cant draw naturally on their own can learn to draw. I love imparting this knowledge to people, because then they can achieve results. And this woman made me so happy, because she saw me for who I really am... the gift goes both ways.
