🔺I finally decided to start watching this last night! 🔻 Why have a waited since Jake, my oldest, has been going through this for weeks? Well...I guess I felt like it would be hard to watch exactly what hed have to endure (kind of like, if your child has to have surgery, you dont actually watch the procedure.) And, Im not gonna lie, it was so hard to watch at times. However, I am so glad I watched. For a few reasons, but one specifically....I now know every day of every week, EXACTLY, what to be praying for him---what hes facing and having to endure that day. As I watched these recruits, that were just boys yesterday but men today, enduring what most never will in their life, my first reaction was I do NOT want mine to go through that! BUT!!!! I realize this is truly what Jake feels called to do, his purpose. I have never seen or heard him more passionate about anything in his life. SO....As bad as I want to protect him from the brutal training the instructors are and will put him through, I understand it and know they are preparing him with what could save his and other peoples lives in his chosen field. I am incredibly thankful for his training and more proud than I could ever express!!! Im not asking you to watch these, but you might find it interesting. 😆 I would ask you, though, to pray for him (and every other recruit out there) that they will complete the course injury free and those who finish will proudly serve as USAF Pararescue. He has 9 weeks left of indoc. #usafpararescue #thatothersmaylive
