I finally got to see my cardiologist today after having my EP - TopicsExpress

I finally got to see my cardiologist today after having my EP study on 1st may.... The anatomical anomaly is that my inferior vena cava doesnt go to the right atrium via the conventional route, it goes over to the left and round the back of my heart and goes into the right atrium via the superior vena cava... He said he hasnt seen it before but obviously I was born with it... Anyway normal ablation for atrial tachycardia and afib is out... So its open heart surgery for either ablation that might not be sucessful or problems return or permenent pacemaker following open heart surgery for destruction of the av node.... Not sure what to think!
