I finally need to share this story. My head is clear and the wonderful message wont be missed in my writing. I was very blessed to start a new friendship with a woman I did not know. Because her boyfriend knew of me and followed my Support group, she too began following. She reached out to me during chemo and the half silly/half chemo brain I had, and her had a wonderful talk and we connected and have ever since. Later that afternoon I had a Starbucks Barista walk in with a HUGE travel case of my favorite Holiday Blend and this neat travel mug I am enjoying right now. I was so surprised and happy that I had to share the story with her of where it came from. I told her God takes care of you when you go through hard things, and she began tearing. She thanked me for saying that as she needed to hear that right now. Then She gave me her number for any future coffee I needed while at the hospital! 😍 The next day I had had been up all night bring transfused, and all I could think of was coffee. Surprise, surprise. I called her and she said she would have a cup sent over. A man smiling ear to ear walks in with an accent. Everyone in Miami Has a different accent. But he was so kind and told me Carol wanted to buy this one for you, no charge. Then I started tearing. I told him you just dont know what little things can mean to a person. I have big struggles and am feeling a lot of things like loneliness, abandonment, and insecurity. Something so simple as coffee spread a positive message of hope to one, and for me made me feel valued, cared for and loved. I had to share that message. Good things happen when we give. It goes way beyond the coffee into the heart and soul of someone needing validation and a feeling everything will be ok! So thank you again for the coffee Craig Andrew Lenahan and Stefanie Ann Diggins Westrick. Know your kind gesture blessed me so very much!
