I find it incredibly amusing that many have found a sudden urge to be acquainted with the mechanics of Islamic Legal theory over a fb thread conversation, hence wish to swiftly have intricate concepts such as نص دلالات texts, legal connotations & denotations التخصيص بالعرف و العادة Derrogations/exemptions with convention المصالح المرسلة Suspension by welfare The reality is that the mechanisms will demand much greater commitment and time by those who seek them. I also recognise that it may be overwhelmingly ego-crushing to realise that your opinion doesnt qualify nor matter when it comes to matters of Sacred Law, but im afraid youve got to come to terms with it..it is what it is. You do have the right to be informed of different opinions of the scholars and you may follow whom you choose to do so but as to running your own evaluation and analysis of the evidences, quite simply many have chosen not to invest their valuable time in qualfying for such matters of the Deen. The only alternative is to actually begin constructively studying the Sharia. Perhaps next year this time we will have acquired a more heightened understanding of Islamic Legal Theory. Noone is under obligation to follow the opinion I suport, youre most welcome to choose the contrasting view and differ with grace. However please do not use my fb post as a platform for your discussions feel free to post as you please on your own wall.
