Reduced demand for iron casted engine components will require a staffing reduction at our Defiance Operations, affecting 135 employees. 48 of the 135 employees are temporary, and therefore their assignment will end on September 30. 55 are permanent employees and 32 Skilled Trades employees. A phased layoff plan will begin by the end of September and conclude by the end of the year.
