National PTA is offering a new funding opportunity – Healthy Lifestyles Energy Balance 101 Grant. Thanks to the support of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation and its Together Counts™ Program, local PTAs can receive tools and resources to partner with schools and engage families to identify and address barriers or challenges to providing healthy learning and home environments. Beginning May 6, local units can apply for the Healthy Lifestyles Balance 101 Grant. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. ET on June 28. Twenty-five (25) $2,000 grants will be awarded to PTAs in good standing who wish to engage students in grades PreK-5 in healthier habits.
