I find it quite astonishing - given the profile of this group and the revolution in social order that it and social media represent in political cum social life - that we advocate for things like transparency but when the rubber hits the road we back off and cheer again for candidates for office promising not an iota more of fiscal transparency. We cheer the construction of edifices without being told either as citizens or auditors what the edifices cost to build. How do we cheer for public officials seeking a return to office whove not EVER discussed a releasing of their financials? It should not be good enough to say: I received development funds and gave them to the party because we must win the election! Or, anyway I have ZERO accountability since no one ever asks how much anything Ive done costs! To simply say oh, so-and-so is a good person, they will do well, bla, bla is unacceptable! Anyone posting a political promo herein should ask for the persons accounting and be prepared to release these records or declare the lack of them. No records means you have to pledge to start keeping records and then run for office, not to just keep going till you inevitably fail
