I find it sad that so many logically thinking gun owning people are so godzilla damned afraid of taking a competency test for ownership of their weapon. Its indicative of paranoia at best and just looks awful on them when they try to desperately to defend their illogical positions. Im a gun owner, and a licensed CCP, and Ill be the first in line to take any competency test to own my gun. If you feel that you have some kind of issue that could preclude you from ownership of your gun, then that may be the very reason you shouldnt own a gun and you are in denial. On the subject of the 2nd amendment, the SCOTUS handed down a ruling in 2008 that said you as an individual have the right to own and carry a weapon. But the 2nd amendment also says a well regulated militia. Buying guns like as if your popping a quarter into a gumball machine and pulling out a AR-15 is not Well regulated. My rights as a gun owner are not even remotely being threatened by any test. If you feel that you are, then you are the ones that probably shouldnt have access.
