I find the fellow who lives across the street from me intriguing. Hes disabled and Ive helped him out a couple of times. For example, once I happened to look out the window and saw him stuck at the end of the street on his rascal, unable to make it up the hill. I jogged down and pushed him to his house, and he didnt say a word. I just thought, huh, hes really shy or something and shrugged it off. But recently Ive seen him out a few times talking to other people. When Ive attempted eye contact in order to say hello, he has studiously ignored me. This is speculation on my part, but I suspect its because hes an ardent conservative (based on the stickers on his car and signs in his yard during political season) and Im a liberal, as evidenced by the stickers on my car.
