I find the news of Robin Williams having early onset Parkinsons to be strangely comforting - suicide, while extreme, brings on a veneer of sense of think of someone who loved biking, the kinetic wonder of performance and mimecraft, and the physicality of life facing such a disease. Sir Terry Pratchett also has mentioned the desire to end his life when his ability to creatively work due to his disease becomes insurmountable. Maybe not for everyone, but this logic at least comes from an honest place and not just turning away due to a temporary career downturn.
