I find this interesting, but I know so little. During the 8 years that Bill Clinton was president, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose about 300%. During the 8 years George W. Bush was president, the Dow declined about 10%. Since Barak Obama has been president, the Dow has risen about 100%. The general stereotype is that Republicans are the economic growth party and Democrats are not. But if the Dow is any indication of economic growth (which many say its at least one of them) the past 24 years suggest that Democratic presidents are better for the economy than Republicans. Like I said, Im an educator and economics of on the fringe of my knowledge base, but this is at least interesting enough for conversation.
