I first noticed the rain when the pounding on the roof woke me at 2:30 this morning. Its been raining, with an occasional pause, since then. This mornings news reported that Tempe, where I live, had received 3 inches by 7:00 this morning. Those of you who dont live in the desert probably cant understand how unusual this is, so let me tell you that in a region with an annual rainfall of under 8 inches, this is inundation. We have pretty good drainage inTempe, but in the West Valley, I10 has cars covered to their rooftops. I love the rain, and we need it, so I shouldnt complain, but... Ah, well, a definite stay-at-home day for me.
