I found Stonefire brand naan at Kroger this weekend. I should have bought them out. They are made to be frozen, and are delicious. Best of all, look what they wrote to me when I asked what their peanut/tree nut situation was (although the fact that they are Canadian and their label indicated shared facility with egg and soy already tipped me off). May God richly bless Mr./Ms. Stonefire and all his/her Canadian progeny! Thank you for reaching out to us. At Stonefire we take food allergies very seriously. Our bread products are not produced within a facility that contains peanuts/tree nut products. Not only do we not buy, cook or use peanuts/tree nuts, but every ingredient that is bought, must have an allergen statement from the original manufacturer. Each allergen statement clearly specifies use of each allergen in the product, on the same manufacturing line and in the same manufacturing establishment. If we have any doubts or concerns for a product, we contact the manufacturer to see what measure of quality control they have in place to ensure safety of their product from contamination. We do not take any chances. Our staff are not allowed to bring peanuts/tree nuts in their lunches and the cafeteria is monitored regularly for compliance. Stonefire is committed to food safety principals and an effective allergen prevention plan, to manage the risks associated with those ingredients known to cause severe adverse reactions.
