I found a used tampon on the bus yesterday. "Ewwww!" some would say, however it sparked an idea when I spotted an antique shop on my ride home! This would be pure gold: I grabbed the mess up in a tissue and ran up to the shop but found the door secured with the electric lock. Impatiently I banged on the window attracting a lot of attention and half scaring the employees. They saw I was alone and grudgingly buzzed me in. Out of breath I apologized while digging through my pockets. Seeking an unfortunate victim, I selected the young man standing behind a counter and handed him my tissue-wrapped prize. As he lifted the tampon out by the string and dangled it high up to inspect my treasure. His face changed from delight to horror when he realized what he was hanging high for the other clerks and customers to see as I asked, "Would you be kind enough to to tell me what period this is from please?"
