I found this post to be simply true. Would like Clayton Emmer to weigh in. Also take note Doug Brown....... A hesitance to believe alarming accusations about a pope, and an impulse to defend him, is, as Millegan notes, a good thing in the abstract. But a refusal to accept the obvious, a radical skepticism about anything that tends to be critical of a pope, is ultramontane and unhealthy. P.S. I will not tolerate nasty ad hominems on this thread. I have had it with Catholics attacking other Catholics for being concerned with Pope Francis. I will just delete any nasty comments that do not have anything substantive to add to the discussion.
