I genuinely and sincerely always try to help people when I can or have ability to do so. I do it without judgement, not because its some ego thing where I want my ass kissed. I do it without judgement because frankly I feel better about myself when I do. That being said, stuff like this pisses me off. Tonight I am at Wal-Mart. A woman approaches me with a story how she is out of gas and stranded. Mind you, when I am low on gas, I make damn sure I have money either with me or in the bank so incidents of this dont occur, but again I am not judging. Not all operate as me. Anyhow, I reach into my pocket and have about $1.50 cents worth of coins. Until Thursday, that and the $20 bucks I have set aside for gas money is all we have to our name (long story, we had something come up and are getting recompensated what we had, but until then or Thursday whichever comes first, we are making due). Anyhow making a long story short, I give this woman the $1.50. She eyeballs it like I handed her some damned life threatening virus, then has the audacity to say to me thats IT???? No green? I immediately took the money back and suggested this woman perform an act of self satisfaction with the nearest sharp object she could locate in the lawn and garden department. I always used to be one of those people who would shake my head at people who would say nasty comments at people asking for money. I also could never understand why some would walk by without even acknowledging them. Sadly, tonight I found out why they do.
