I get asked frequently, who is a good agent? Well, the answer to that is different for every individual. What I have found about talent agents is that they are all different. I see so many people giving poor advice when it comes to talent agencies. What I mean is, a good agent for me is not necessarily a good agent for you. Im a 40 something bald white male that can play a cop or a bad guy. If you are a 20 something blonde female with model good looks, you should find an agency that best fits you, your look and your talent. Recommending my talent agency because theyre good for me is doing you a disservice because you need the agency that fits you, and can get you the kind of auditions that you fit best. I think its unfortunate when someone says you should go with so and so cuz theyre awesome. Well they may be awesome for them, not so awesome for you. My best advice is, research your local agencies. Go on their website and look to see what kind of talent they have in their talent pool. Bottom line is dont go submitting to an agency that you know nothing about or just because someone else said they were great. You dont want to submit to 10 agencies all at once just hoping that youll get somebody to call you back either. I would love to hear the opinions of some other talent out there that are represented by agencies. Lets get a discussion going here.
