I get disturbed when former Pres Thabo Mbeki encourage the youth of South Africa to revolt and rebel like those of Tunisia and Egypt. I always held Mr. Mbeki high but to hear such utterances from him makes me reconsider as he was a Statesman who to a very large extent failed the very youth he encourage to revolt. It is a fact that the youth of SA are not properly catered for, it dates back from the Mandela era and the Hon Mbeki never helped an inch to alter the chauvanism that we faced. It was under the Hon Min Nzimande when more and more poor youth were allowed and financed to further their studies than ever before. More young people are graduates than ever before today, regardless of the high unemployment rate. It is under the leadership of Hon Min Motshekga where more learners are no longer paying school fees and get a meal at schools than ever before, regardless of the challenges at that Dept. The current Administration has done better and more for the youth than any of the previous Admins which include allocating work and business specifically for youth and youth-owned entities. I am the first to admit that there is a lot that can be done for the youth of SA, however calling for a revolution is way out of touch and uncalled for. #EldersHaveExperience,YouthHaveTheFuture
