I get immensely tired of and increasingly irritated by those who view the use of language as pedantic. The Internet has not only brought about the deterioration of language but it also is leading to an excuse for flippant usage of hyperbole without any accountability. To correct is to attach. To actually expect people to say what they mean or to mean what they say is, apparently, too much to expect. I would apologize for being intelligent, well spoken, or even pedantic... but it would be insincere and I do not say anything here that I would not say in real life and I am actually known for being both pedantic and quick to correct the use of a language that I use with care. It is not, in my opinion, too much to expect from others what I expect from myself.
