I go by the stage name Independent, and my real name is Daniel Weisberg. I am currently 19 years old from Chicago, Illinois still living in my hometown. I have always been inspired by music and my junior year of high school I decided to take rap seriously as I noticed a big decline in talent level on the radio. I am now a hip hop lyricist, one of Chicagos hottest and I plan to bring hip hop back. In the rap genre, I am now mainly inspired by artists such as J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem. In other genres I am very much entertained by artists such as: Al Green, The Isley Brothers, Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown, Michael Jackson, The Gap Band, The Spinners, Frank Sinatra, etc.. I plan on bringing what only a few artists bring today and thats shocking story telling and unique word play in every song I give to the world. I really hope you enjoy this and it would mean the world if we can promote good music for once and not that lazy, money focused, music. I do this for a legacy title not to have 10 cars and 20 diamonds. Please take the time to listen carefully as this is by far the beginning of what I have for the world as a young Chicago artist.
