I got 22 squirrels moved out to the farm today. There are still more ready to move but until I get the cages ready they had to stay for now. Hoping I can get the other four cages cleaned up in the next couple of days. Then I called my good friend John and he said he will come clean out the release cages, get rid of the ants and put fresh mulch in them this weekend (as long as it does not rain). Then I can start moving them into the release cages so that I will have room for the ones that will be weaning later too. It is a never ending shifting of squirrels from one space to another until they are out on their own. The ones that go into the release cages soon will be there until spring now. They will get released as soon as their is a good leaf cover. Then after a couple of weeks I start cleaning up the cages again so that more squirrels can go into them again. I am very tired tonight after all the movement of squirrels so am going to feed the little fellows and head to bed. Tomorrow is baby container cleaning day again. Never a dull moment
