I got a phone call today to tell me my computer had a problem with Windows. The person had an Indian accent. My reply was that Im 75 years of age, dont have a computer and wouldnt know where to switch one on. Where did they get my number? From their database, he said. Beware folk - this looks like a scam to get your personal details - how would they know there was a problem, or not, unless they were using back-door technology without my consent. Or else they dont know and are taking a fat chance! I put my money on the latter.
