I got my ass surrounded and beat up in a heated discussion over politics at the Knotty Pine last night! Trying to explain to people the difference between the deficit and debt and where the debt came from is futile when people refuse to open their eyes! The conversation carried on to healthcare and then it happened,,, in almost one breath and in one sentence the following statement was made, I dont think there should be ANY public schools and the Unions destroyed this country! I shook my head and had to remember where I was as I looked up at the main support beam right down the center of the bar,,,,, where just about every logo of every Union was posted!!!! I think I held my own but sometimes its IRONIC????? Another oldie but goodie came up about how this nation Over taxes corporations and I said the last time corporate taxes were this low was just before the crash in the late twentys! To which I also said that we were promised jobs had we lowered our tax rate and if their claim was true, wed be swimming in jobs right now to which their reply was,,,,, well they are still too high and half of the people unemployed are freeloaders!!!!HEEEEEEEEEEEEREs YOUR SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
