I got news today that stole a little oiece of my hope but none the less my faith is still in tact...The doctor that is in charge of my Islet Transplant case file notified me that ALL the doctors/surgeons in charge of my kidney and Islet transplants had a conference in the past week and have decided to take me off the Islet transplant list for the time being. They said they are putting my best interest at heart. I agree. If they were to proceed and the infection came back, the medications I am on would help with the anti-rejection of my kidney but could in turn do a chain reaction causing the Islets to reject, send body into confusion and may cause my kidney or other organs to fail..IF the infection can be kept away and bloodwork stay stable then they will rethink transplant in 2+ years UNLESS my Diabetes makes me terminally ill where there is NO other choice than to do transplant to save my organs and my life For now bionic woman will have to deal with with being average healthy instead of normal...LOL JK I am ok with being allive and no thought of risk...Just a minor set back is all.:) October 17th I have left pinky trigger finger surgery...Just another surgery to continue bionicism, if such thing...:) LOL No worries I am still in Good spirits:)
