I got the best phone call today from my parole officer....he said congratulations youve been officially discharged from parole....I said nikka stop playing lol but he was serious tho....I had to stop and reflect how far as a man Ive come...I mean I went to prison at 19 years old still wet behind the ears and wild af. Inside those walls i educated myself I learned from other ppls mistakes because an OG once told me a smart man learns from his mistakes a wise man learns from others, I became wise and mature for my age and I achieved as much as I could in those 9 years incarcerated....I once thought I had it bad until I met ppl who had been in prison longer than Ive been alive,we dont know struggle until we lose everything and then your forced to make a decision which is do I fight to stand up or lay here and die in misery? I chose to rise to the occasion because theres no quit in me!! The success that Ive achieved thus far I owe it and dedicate it to my family because they stood by me and saw me at my absolute worse yet still had faith that I have bigger things in store for my life its been a long road to make it here but Im proud to say I survived , I never quit and I cant wait to see what my future has in store......
