I got the number 9. Here are 9 things that most people dont know about me. 1. I used to downhill ski. A lot. I spent a season in Aspen, CO playing ski bum when I was (much) younger and can (and have) ski some of the craziest stuff you can imagine. Cliffs, steeps, etc. 2. Corollary to #1 - I have been caught in 2 avalanches. 3. I was one of the first people in Michigan to own a pair of inline skates (rollerblades). 4. I lived in Austin, Texas for a year, while working for IBM, there. 5. One night, in Austin, on rollerblades, I was clocked at 37 mph, by a friend in a car next to me. Unaided (except for the hill I was on). 6. In college at MSU (Michigan State University), I got a traffic ticket on my bicycle. I exceeded the 15-mph speed limit in a traffic circle. By 20-mph. He tried to give me a ticket for unlawful passing, too (I passed 7 cars), but he couldnt legally give me that one.... It was slightly downhill and I had a decent tail wind.... 7. I once, on skis and carrying a toboggan behind, jumped OVER an outside eating deck. See #1 above. (Aspen Highlands, top of the third lift, warming hut + deck). 8. The first 2 cars I owned I purchased used. One from my dad, and one from a newspaper ad. I did not sell those cars, I walked away unscathed from totaled wrecks. (one of them was kind of old and it got hit in a parking garage, the other I fell asleep behind the wheel and got REAL lucky). 9. I built a (working) laser for a science project, in high school.
